Position
Place in well-drained soil, with exposure to bright light indoors or outdoors. Native to the Canary Islands, these guys are intolerant to frost, but also go dormant in extreme heat.
Watering
Watering can be infrequent, so long as the soil doesn’t dry up completely. Water less frequently during the winter. If in a container, they will need slightly more moisture.
Care
Growth season is well and truly winter to spring, so feed with a half-strength balanced fertiliser once a month. If dormant – usually in the summer – it’s important not to feed, otherwise their roots will rot.
